Casoni Hotel Celebrates 1st Anniversary: ‘We established Casoni Hotel for people to have outstanding hotel Experiences’ – CEO, Chief James Onoja

Casoni Hotel and Suites Port Harcourt, over the weekend marked it’s one year anniversary with prayers, celebrations and fanfare for a year that surpassed expectation at the inception because of the critical economy and industry situation at that time.
It is noteworthy that as proof to the outstanding performance of the hotel, Casoni Hotel & Suites won the award of 'Best Business Hotel in Nigeria'. That award sets the hotel aside and places it at a level to contest and compete with the best hotels in the industry in Nigeria.
The award was announced and given to the hotel at the Hotel Managers Conference and Awards 2022.
The event witnessed many complementary speeches from both customers and suppliers. The evening was laced with plenty to eat and drink as a number local artist entertained guests. It was a colourful evening. e
Guests went wild with excitement when it was announced the the one and only Obi Cubana was stepping into the hall. It seemed unbelievable until they saw it was true!

Chief James Onoja, the Chairman and CEO of the hotel used the opportunity to reiterate the driving vision of the hotel brand, saying that, ' When we decided to establish Casoni Hotel & Suites, we intended on "Redefining Hospitality"!
'That meant that we wanted to ensure that anyone who enters or lodges at Casoni hotel would have a uniquely ‘outstanding hotel experience', Chief Onoja said with excitement.
According to the General Manager, Mr. Johnson Arji, Casoni
Hotel and Suites was officially opened for business on the 6th August
2021. ‘The hotel opened at a time when hospitality business was struggling heavily
from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic,' he explained.
The CEO, Chief Onoja kicked off the celebration with a special
rededication of the hotel through prayers by a Reverend Father who visited and handled
the rededication service while anointing the facility anew.
Speaking on the grounds of anonymity, the Reverend Father explained
that, ‘It is in very rare occasions that you see people who are into business and
especially hospitality business take time to ask God for help and guidance in what
they do. This singular act by the Chairman of the hotel demonstrates his faith in
God.
‘And you would discover that as people come here and go, there
would always be peace and security in this environment as God has been invited in
the midst,' he further said.
