NIHOTOUR to Host the Biggest Gastronomy Festival in Nigeria

  The Management of National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR) have announced their hosting of Gastronomy Festival, at the sprawling Abuja International Conference Centre, on the 16th and 17th of June 2023. This year’s Gastronomy Festival is the third consecutive food and beverage exhibition and sampling event annually organized by NIHOTOUR, since 2021. The theme for this year’s event is “Culinary Arts: The Gate Way to Growing Tourism Destination”. 'Passenger not physically Assaulted', FAAN Clarifies

Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has come out to inform the general public that the report obtained by People's Gazette of an incident of an alleged assault of a female  passenger at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja recently, is not true.  'Although there was a misunderstanding between the passenger and AVSEC officials bothering on compliance with airport security protocols which has been resolved upon investigation', says Faithful A. Hope-Ivbaze,  Ag General Manager, Corporate Affairs of FAAN. 'She was not physically assaulted at any time. Her tweet of rebuttal on 19th January 2023 is an attestation. Southern Sun Ikoyi Hotel rebranded to Mövenpick after acquisition by Kasada Albatross

  Southern Sun Ikoyi Hotel now Mövenpick Kasada Albatross Holding has completed the acquisition of Southern Sun and commenced operation under the Mövenpick brand. The hotel commenced operations under the Mövenpick brand in December 2022 with most of the staff of the former Southern Sun brand retained by Accor Hotels. Nairametrics first reported in June that South Africa’s Southern Sun Africa (SSA) was disposing of its 75.55% majority shareholding in Southern Sun Ikoyi Hotels, in a deal valued at about $30.4 million comprising $29.1 million in shares and another $1.3 million in shareholder loan claims. The hotel is being acquired by Kasada Albatross Holding (the Purchaser), which is a subsidiary of Kasada Hospitality Fund LP. The Kasada Group’s hotels are operated under the banner of Accor’s wide range of internationally renowned brands.
