Brian Efa to Speak on 'Hotel Management Reports' at Hotel Managers Conference Online MASTERCLASS for January 2023

  Mr. Brian Efa, CEO of Celsius Hospital Limited and General Manager of Victoria Crown Plaza Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos State has been confirmed as the Speaker for the first edition in 2023 of the Hotel Managers Online MASTERCLASS.

Mr. Brian Efa would be speaking on 'Hotel Management Reports, as he attempts to educate and help hotel managers have grasp of modern and relevant framework on all kinds of reports expected from GMs and other managers.

Mr. Olugbenga Sunday, Convener of the Hotel Managers Conference revealed that, 'The topic and choice of speaker was a response to the needs of plenty General Managers and knowing we have human resources among our plenty General Managers, Senior Colleagues in the industry, it becomes pertinent to solve a household problem with the resources that we have.

It is therefore clear that this edition of January Online MASTERCLASS is a response to the clamours among several hotels and their managers on the need elaborate and update knowledge on writing hotel Reports for the year in various hotels to their owners.

Mr. Obinna Anthony Okorie, General Manager, Friends Hotel Uyo explained that it is good General Managers start learnt more on preparing Management Reports for their hotels. He also asserted that most Hotel Managers and Owners have been using an Orthodox method prior to now.

'I suggest to present us with standard template for Hotel or Hospitality Reports which will help us start, first by educating Hotel owners who will be reading the reports to even understand the whole essence of such reports' Mr. Obinna explained.

Brian Efa, is a multi-award winning hospitality professional. He is the CEO, Celsius Hospitality and General Manager Victoria Crown Plaza Hotel. Before Joining Victoria Crown Plaza, he was Country Manager, International Hospitality Institute USA. 

He is a double award winner as ‘The Hotel Man of the year 2020’ and was the first Indigenous General Manager of Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort Uyo

As General Manager of Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort, he within Six months revitalized the resort and make great returns on Investment to its owners and placed back on the tourism space, a once forgotten hospitality Masterpiece.  

Brian in 2018 was listed as Top 30 hospitality influencer in Nigeria, in 2022, he was inducted  into the Top 100 Tourism personalities Club and most recently, he was listed among the Top 100 Most Powerful People in African Tourism and Hospitality 

Prior to becoming General Manager, he had spent several years in Finance function in the hospitality industry, including serving as Director of Finance, Ibom Hotel, the pioneer Assistance Financial Controller Southern Sun Ikoyi, Pioneer Deputy Chief Accountant  Le Meridian Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort and Finance and Admin Manager  Le Chateau Hotel and Suite, Calabar.

The Harvard trained Finance expert has more than 15years experience in the industry. As Managing Partner of Jonel Hospitality Consulting – A hospitality investment advisory firm, Brian Spends more than six(6)years consulting for individuals, firms and Government on the best approach to developing and investing in the industry to guarantee  result.. He has raised over $40Million of syndicate fund for hotel development in Nigeria.

Brian holds a certificate in Finance Management from Hotel school The Hague (Netherlands) and a Certificate in Hotel Management from Wavecrest Collage of Hospitality.   He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from University of Calabar. He is a member of the institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria

He has attended several trainings in Nigeria and Abroad including Harvard Business School, Lagos Business School and John Maxwell Leadership Academy
