Hotel Managers School Expands Reach Across Africa with Second Set Intake

By Renn Offor  The Hotel Managers School, Africa's premier training institution for training and raising the next generation of thoroughbred hospitality managers, has inducted its second set of students for the 2025 academic year.  The majority of students, who are scattered across Africa, enrolled in the Hotel Operations & Management Course. Despite the physical distance, the excitement was palpable as 19 students gathered virtually for their induction ceremony, held on Thursday, 20th February. Nkereuwem Onung emerges New FTAN President

Mr Nkereuwem Onung, the chairman of Remlords Tours and Car Hire Services, has emerged the president Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria, FTAN. With a landslide victory, Onung emerged winner with 71 votes over his challenger Otunba Ayo Olumoko who secured 22 votes at the Federation election held today, Thursday July 8th at RockView Hotel, Abuja. Onung is the former president of Nigerian Association of Tour Operators NATOP and its BOT chairman. He was the immediate past acting president of FTAN, taking over after the untimely death of Alhaji Rabo Karim Seleh in active service. Onung is a former banker before venturing into tour and car hire business.
