Africa: Ethiopian Airlines Signs a Contract with Dar Al-Handasah to Develop a Mega Airport City

  Ethiopian Airlines Group, Africa's leading airline, has signed a technical advisory and consultancy contract with Dar Al-Handasah Consultants (Shair and Partners), a partner with the world-renowned signature architects Zaha Hadid Architects, to embark on the design and supervision of a Mega Airport City at Abusera in Bishoftu city. This state-of-the-art airport city, located just 40km from Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, is poised to revolutionize air travel in Ethiopia. Upon completion, the new airport is projected to have the capacity to serve 110 million passengers each year, which is four times the current capacity of Bole International Airport . Nigeria To Host 68th UN Tourism Commission For Africa Meeting

Nigeria has secured the hosting right for the 68th meeting of the UN Tourism Commission for Africa (CAF) in 2025. The announcement was made during the 67th meeting of the Commission held in Livingstone, Republic of Zambia. There expressions of intent from Kenya, Algeria, Nigeria and Ghana. Demonstrating remarkable solidarity, Ghana withdrew its candidature in support of Nigeria. Offor Organizers of the annual hotel and hospitality conference and exposition, Hotel Managers Conference & Awards (HMCA), have announced that electronics giants LG Electronics have confirmed their participation as Headline Sponsor for the event holding in Lagos on the 13th and 14th July 2024 inside the Grand African Ballroom, Lagos Continental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.  Organizers explained that this confirmation means that LG Electronics is Headline Sponsor to HMCA for two years in a row, as they were Headline Sponsor for the conference in 2023 when it was held in Owerri, Imo State.
