VEHICULAR TRAFFIC; FAAN ADVISES PASSENGERS TO GET TO AIRPORTS EARLY The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria wishes to advise passengers and airport users, particularly those at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja to get to the airport early so as to complete their check in procedures in good time, and avoid the unpleasant experiences associated with missing their flights.er This advice has become necessary, as passengers are likely to go through a little delay at the entrance to the terminals, due to built-up vehicular traffic occasioned by increase in passenger traffic being witnessed presently. The Authority will like to assure passengers and other airport users that all hands are on deck to ensure swift facilitation and reduce the congestion to the barest minimum.

Reasons may have emerged why Professor Ben Ayade, the Executive Governor of Cross River State may have suspended Mr. Gabe Onah, Chairman of the Carnival Calabar. The suspension of the multiple award winning Mr. Gabe Onah, a founding member of the think thank group that established the Carnival Calabar, came as an aftermath of the Carnival Calabar Award which held last Easter Saturday. In a Press Release signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Christian Ita said that the suspension takes eff effect immediately. Though no reason was given for the suspension but sources in Calabar say it is in connection with the first Carnival Calabar Awards that held on Easter Saturday in Calabar. T he awards were held without the official consent of the Governor who is the executive producer of the carnival.
